Standard Installation Process of Steel Gates and Key Construction Acceptance Criteria
Scientific and standardized installation construction is the core premise to ensure the stable operation, good sealing and long service life of steel gates. Steel gates belong to precision hydraulic mechanical equipment, and any irregular operation in the installation process will lead to gate jamming, water leakage, operation deviation and other problems, seriously affecting the overall operation effect of water conservancy projects. Before formal construction, comprehensive pre-installation preparation must be completed. Construction personnel need to inspect the gate body welding quality, flatness, size parameters and accessory completeness to check for welding deformation, coating damage and accessory defects. At the same time, clean the gate slot and embedded parts of the hydraulic structure, remove concrete residues, sediment and floating impurities, and calibrate the embedded steel plate position to ensure the installation foundation is flat, vertical and firm. In the formal installation stage, the embedded parts are fixed first, and the verticality, levelness and flatness of the gate slot are accurately calibrated with professional surveying instruments to control the error within the national standard range. After the embedded parts are firmly fixed with concrete, the gate body is hoisted in place, and the gap between the gate leaf and the gate slot is adjusted to ensure uniform clearance and flexible fitting. Then complete the installation and debugging of supporting hoist, transmission device and limit device. After installation, strict commissioning and acceptance tests are required. Conduct no-load opening and closing tests repeatedly to check whether the gate operates smoothly without jamming, abnormal noise and deviation. Carry out water pressure sealing test under working water level to detect leakage points and adjust water stop accessories in time. The key acceptance criteria include gate verticality error, sealing gap uniformity, no-load operation flexibility and water stop leakage index. Standard construction and strict acceptance can effectively avoid hidden dangers of later operation and ensure the steel gate maintains excellent working performance for a long time.
